1 Renewable Group Pty Ltd ACN 698 539 632 (“1 Renewable”, “we”, “us”, “our”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, store and protect your personal information and how you can access or correct it. We handle personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).

The personal information we collect depends on how you interact with us and may include:

  • Your name, contact details (address, email, phone number) and date of birth;
  • Property details relevant to a quote or installation (for example, roof, switchboard and metering details);
  • Energy usage information, electricity bills and meter or NMI details;
  • Identity, concession, or eligibility information required to apply for government rebates and incentives if applicable (for example, VEU, ESS, or STC eligibility);
  • Payment details, and finance or credit information where you apply for third-party finance;
  • Records of your enquiries, communications and service history with us; and
  • Website usage data collected automatically, such as your IP address, browser type and pages visited (see clause 8).

3. How We Collect Your Information

By submitting your details, you confirm that you are 18 years of age or older and consent to being contacted by 1Renewable regarding renewable energy products, services and eligible government rebates for residential or commercial properties. We may contact you by phone, email, SMS, or other electronic communication for up to three months. You can withdraw your consent at any time by contacting us. We collect personal information directly from you  – for example, when you request a quote, complete a form on our website, sign an agreement or speak with our team. We may also collect information from third parties where relevant, such as your electricity retailer or distributor, finance providers, rebate scheme administrators or referral partners, where you have authorised this or it is otherwise permitted by law. 

4. Why We Collect and Use Your Information

We collect, hold, and use your personal information to:

  • Prepare quotes and proposals and respond to your enquiries;
  • Supply products and carry out installation and related services;
  • Assess eligibility for, and apply for, government rebates, incentives and certificates on your behalf;
  • Process payments and facilitate third-party finance applications;
  • Manage warranties, servicing, and ongoing support;
  • Meet our legal, regulatory, and scheme-compliance obligations (including audit and record-keeping requirements under VEU, ESS, and SRES); and
  • With your consent, send you information about our products, offers, and services.

5. Disclosure of Your Information

We may disclose your personal information to third parties where necessary for the purposes described above, including:

  • Our installers, subcontractors, and technicians;
  • Product manufacturers and suppliers (for example, for warranty registration);
  • Finance providers where you apply for finance;
  • Government agencies and scheme administrators — for example, the Clean Energy Regulator, the Essential Services Commission (Victoria), the Energy Saving Scheme administrator, and your electricity distributor — to apply for and validate rebates and certificates;
  • Our professional advisers and IT or service providers who help us operate our business; and
  • Others where required or authorised by law.

We do not sell your personal information.

6. Direct Marketing

Where you have consented, we may contact you with information about our products, offers, and services. You can opt out of marketing communications at any time by using the unsubscribe function in our messages or by contacting us using the details in clause 11. We will action opt-out requests promptly.

7. Cookies & Website Analytics

Our website may use cookies and similar technologies to help it function, remember your preferences, and understand how it is used. You can manage or disable cookies through your browser settings, though some features of the website may not work correctly if you do. We may use analytics tools to collect aggregated, non-identifying information about website usage.

You may request access to the personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it if it is inaccurate, out of date, or incomplete. To make a request, contact us using the details in clause 11. We will respond within a reasonable period. There is no charge to request access, although we may charge a reasonable fee for the cost of providing access in some cases.

If you believe we have breached the Australian Privacy Principles or mishandled your personal information, please contact us using the details in clause 11 so we can investigate and respond. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at www.oaic.gov.au.

11. Changes & Contact

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The current version will always be available on our website and takes effect on the day it is published.
